Be Wilde like Oscar with some of his best quotes

Born in Dublin, and educated in Trinity College, Irish writer Oscar Wilde (1854–1900) is best known for the novel The Picture of Dorian Gray and the play The Importance of Being Earnest, as well as for his infamous arrest and imprisonment for being gay.
More than a century after his death, Wilde is still better remembered for his exuberant personality than for his literary accomplishments. Since his observations seem just as sharp and current today as they did a century ago, and since so many of the very best Irish quotes are from Wilde we thought it made sense to dedicate a page to my favorite quotes of him, with pictures of Dublinconnected to his life or his legacy.

It is known that Oscar Wilde enjoyed drinking in Dublin's pubs very much. If you want to take a look at the pubs who inspired Irish writers through the ages, the Dublin Literary Pub Crawl might be for you!
If you want to know more about Oscar Wilde, should you visit Dublin don't miss the Dublin Writers Museum!
