Read on to find out what our favourite hotels and attractions were!

Favourite Hotels....

A top favourite for the Hotels was the Longueville House Hotel in Mallow, County Cork.

"The highlight of the trip for me was Longueville House in Cork. The drive up to the house alone afforded spectacular views of the grounds and the surrounding area. The house itself was gorgeous, real olde world style and it had some lovely additions to it like the conservatory which owners Aisling and Michael said they use for special occasions like birthdays or intimate weddings. It was very clear that Aisling and Michael are very passionate about the property and the services they offer which made Longueville House even more appealing. If you are looking for a quite weekend away where you can sit in front of a blazing fire with a glass of Apple Brandy (brewed on site) or have a 4 star dining experience, then Longueville House would definitely be my first choice."

"Longueville House in Mallow County Cork made a big impression on me. Arriving and not really knowing what the place was like at all I was so surprised to find out all that they do there. This is a charming property on its own grounds and is family run. Aisling and William O’Callaghan are the owners here and very much hands on. The welcome here is warm and genuine. The rooms cosy and quaint and very comfortable. Food is very much the speciality here with the hotel being 80% self-sufficient. They produce their own Cider and an amazing Apple Brandy . Food activities can also be arranged here such as mushroom hunting, fishing and shooting. Private Cooking lessons can also be arranged and William does a cooking lesson once a month. In the Autumn guests can take part in the apple harvest. The family have five dogs and guests are free to take one or all on a walk around the vast grounds of the hotel."

Some more favourtie Hotels.....

"I would say that my favourite Hotel on the trip was the Brehon Hotel in Killarney County Kerry. I was really surprised as from the front door I wasn't expecting such a high standard of accommodation. I was amazed with the entrance/lobby, plenty of space and light, beautiful walls with creamy colors and wood, Arabic style windows on the top... Spacious rooms with all the facilities youwould need in a room and great views of Killarney National Park. What I loved the most was the spa treatments they offer, as they are specialised in Thai massages. Thestaffare either Thai or have beentrained in Thailand which is a real add-on!"

"My favourite was the Europe Hotel in Killarney. It is an absolutely stunning location with spectacular views over Loch Lein and the wilderness of the McGillycuddy Reeks! The fabulous view is captured perfectly from all the public areas in the hotel and obviously the lake side bedrooms. The interior of the hotel is furnished to the highest standard and the attention to detail is amazing. The decor is the perfect mix of classic and contemporary and includes a cosy bar, the library and the lounge! Once you are installed in one of the comfy armchairs admiring the view, you are immediately transported to another world! The icing on the cake is the spa, which is split onto three levels with a separate levels for male and female and another level with the thermal suites and an outdoor infinity pool with the above views......words could never do the hotel justice.....it has to be experienced in the flesh!"

"The Cork International Airport Hotel is such a great place to stay. Highly modern and really stylish design with high ceiling & luxurious rooms. The staff was so nice and helpful and we had a good laugh. I would definitely recommend it!"

"I loved the Hayfield Manor in Cork, Adare Manor Limerick, Longueville House and the Cahernane House Hotel because I love old buildings and they remind me of Downtown Abbey :)"

The Top visitor attraction was the Jaunting Trip around Killarney National Park.....

"The Jaunting Car trip from Killarney to Muckross House was a great thing to do! You get to see the beauty of the Killarney National Park, and it's a very relaxing. It's a great thing to do for people spending a whole day in Killarney, and you can then take a walk from Muckross House around the lakes."

"Jaunting trip - really nice and old fashioned experience, such a pleasant ride around Killarney National Park."

"The Jaunting tripthat we didon Sunday morning in the park up to the Muckross House was relaxing and peaceful and we could enjoy the views of the mountains and Killarney lakes!"

"I really liked the jaunting trip in Killarney National Park - it's so beautiful down there! Definitely want to go back and do a tour/bike ride/boat trip in there."

Favourite Place was Cobh in County Cork…

"I loved the visit to Cobh, it's a pretty little village with a lot of history. Dr Michael Martin who was our guide is a very interesting man and I regret that we didn't have more time there because there was a lot more to be told about Cobh/Queenstown. The Titanic Experience is great, and very interactive, a great surprise! The Queenstown Story Museum has a lot of character, I love the way it's set in the old railway station. I would definitely recommend a stop in Cobh to anyone travelling to Co. Cork."

"I liked Cobh, probably nice place for a day out when the weather is a little bit nicer (wasn't too warm when we were there). It's a really cute little village and even if you're not that much into Titanic stuff or a guided tour- it's lovely to just have a stroll around the promenade and enjoy the atmosphere of a colourful Italian style little village on a mountain next to the sea."
