The style is based onLesInvalidesin Paris with a formal facade and a large courtyard.

The Royal Hospital Kilmainham is now home to a modern art gallery. Indeed,The Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), housed in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, is Ireland's leading national institution for the collection and presentation of modern and contemporaryartwith over 3,500 artworks by Irish and International artists.
