Traditional Irish Storytelling Bus, Dublin City
The Traditional Irish Storytelling Bus takes passengers on a 1,5 – 2 hour journey through Irish past and history with traditional songs, legends and myths about Pookas, fairies and giants, Vikings, Leprechauns and ancient kings and queens.
The bus itself resembles a driving house - being completely painted from the outside. The interior downstairs, decorated with a small bar and a piano, is really cosy and upstairs in the seating area the actual storytelling takes place. Surrounded by red thick curtains and an artificial fireplace, passengers get ready to start the trip through Dublin’s City and suburbs with a complementary drink.
After the first few stories you will stop at the peninsula of Beann Eadair, Howth Head. In this beautiful setting guests are let into the story of Merrows, Jack O’ Mahoney’s friendship and Conn of the Hundred Battles.
Your second stop is at St Anne’s Park, Clontarf. Take a private little tour through the park before it goes to more stories and past time fairy tales.
The bus finishes at The Church Bar on Mary Street where the mystical evening will slowly fade away with a few drinks.
The Storytelling Bus departs nightly at 7.15pm from College Green, Dublin 2 – and thanks to its remarkable exterior you can’t miss it.
