St. Stephen's Green, Dublin City Centre
St. Stephen’s Green Park
St. Stephen’s Green Park is Ireland's best known Victorian public park – and Dublin’s most visited Public Park. Re-opened by Lord Ardilaun in 1880 for the citizens of Dublin, this 22 acre park is a sanctuary from the hustle & bustle of the city's streets, with 3.5km of tree lined walks, shrubberies, colourful flowerbeds, herbaceous borders, a beautiful pond & fountain area with plenty of benches & open green areas. Lunchtime concerts are performed from the bandstand during the summer. Most important however, St. Stephen’s is the park to be as soon as there is the sun coming out in Dublin. Offering plenty of free green space to sit down, have a picnic or a nap in the sun and relax, this green spot is highly popular with Dubliners.
Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre
Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre is centrally located in the heart of the most prestigious shopping area of Dublin City – right at the top ofGrafton Street. The area is surrounded by history and buzzing youthful energy. Not only are the 100 outlets under its roof a must for any visitor to the Dublin’s City Centre, but also the building’s imaginative architecture evoking Victorian greenhouses: the 3 story gallery-style interior, white steel frames and pillars, the great white clock in its very centre, the extensive glass roof and the façade covered with flowers. It is a beautiful sight.
St. Stephen’s Green Transport
Being ideally located in Dublin's South City Centre, there are plenty of different bus routes, city tours, horse carriages and the green LUAS line departing/stopping at St. Stephens Green .
