John Waldron - Managing Director
John has been involved in Tourism for over 20 years. As well as running Tourireland he also manages a number of other Irish Travel Companies. While travel and tourism are a passion of John’s his REAL passion is GOLF. He is a keen golfer but not a great golfer, we know his handicap is high; we are just not sure how high! But he knows all about Irish golf and has played most of the top courses in Ireland. His two favourites are Mount Juliet, designed by Jack Nicklaus which was voted the best parkland course in Ireland and Doonbeg a spectacular golf links designed by Greg Norman on the Atlantic coast.
“Golf is a game in which you yell “fore,” shoot six, and write down five! To be serious for a minute, if you want to come golfing in Ireland let me know and I will put a great trip together for you, you really have to try some of the Irish links, they are the best in the World”

"Food tourism in Ireland is growing dramatically. We are world renowned for having the best produce – the rain apparently has its advantages in terms of lovely grass for the cows and sheep to feed on and consequently offer up to us great meat, milk and cheese amongst other things. The seafood is also amazing. You can experience this now for example by visiting one of our many food markets. The Temple Bar Market every Saturday in Dublin is one of these and is always busy no matter what time of the year it is. We also have an abundance of food related festivals, one of the biggest – Taste of Dublin which is held every June in Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens is not to be missed. Really a feast for all the senses awaits you in Ireland! "

Gillian O' Brien - Assistant Reservations Manager
Born and raised in Wicklow, Gillian has been working in the tourism industry since 2004 and with Tour Ireland since 2010. In her photo you can see the famous Round Tower in Glendalough, County Wicklow. During her spare time, Gillian loves to get out in the open air and take long walks through Wicklow’s beautiful countryside and lush mountains. Or you might find her travelling with her friends – whether she’s taking a trip around Ireland or venturing further afield, Gillian enjoys nothing more than exploring a new area. Galway City, on the west coast is one of her favourite places in Ireland:
“Galway city has something for everybody, young and old. It’s also a great base for going on day trips to Connemara and The Aran Islands."

Aisling McAuley - Reservations Agent
Although having always lived in Dublin, Aisling loves exploring the four corners of Ireland. In her spare time she enjoys travelling and ensuring her children get to experience the magic of this beautiful island. Aisling's favourite part of the country is the Glens of Antrim in Northern Ireland.
"The Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge is always a favourite of mine whenever I'm in Antrim".

Vivienne O'Leary - Reservations Agent
Vivienne has 17 years’ experience in the Tourism Industry. When she’s not working, Vivienne enjoys nothing more than to walk around and soak up everything that vibrant and historical Dublin City has to offer, whether that involves some retail therapy in one of the capitals many shopping area or visiting one of the numerous cultural sights in the City like the Book of Kells or the Guinness Storehouse.
“I love visiting the Guinness Storehouse but my favourite part is when you reach the Gravity Bar at the very top, the 360 degree panoramic views of Dublin are just breath-taking”

Niamh Allabyrne - Tourireland Blogger
Niamh has worked in the Tourism Industry for 10 years and is never happier than when exploring Ireland. With a history background and a keen interest in genealogy, Niamh has spent many a happy hour researching her family tree and establishing her roots. When not nose-deep in a library, she loves visiting Ireland’s stately homes and castles, with Belvedere House in Westmeath a particular favourite due to it’s incredible location and stunning grounds. She enjoys taking mini-breaks around Ireland particularly to Achill Island a steadfast destination of hers…
“Achill is simply breath-taking – I love the walks around the island, the amazing sandy beaches and of course the friendly locals – you really feel like you’re coming home when you visit Achill”
